Getting to Les Grands Carmes
By car
The Grands Carmes are located in the historic center of Aix-en-Provence, where access by car and parking are regulated. Before your arrival, our team will provide you with the recommended itinerary and the options for short-term parking and parking.
From Marseille : about 30 minutes by car
From Avignon : 1 hour 15 minutes by car
From Cannes : 1 hour 50 minutes by car
From Lyon : about 3 hours by car
By train
The nearest train station is Aix-TGV, which is about 15 minutes by car from the hotel.
From Paris Gare de Lyon: Direct TGV to Aix-TGV (3 hours).
From Lyon: direct TGV train to Aix-TGV (1 hour 30 minutes)
Taxis and car hire services are available at the station.
By plane
The nearest airport is Marseille-Provence (located 30 minutes by car). Accessible by car or shuttle from the center of Aix-En-Provence.
Transfers and services on request
Private transfers from the train station or airport can be arranged by booking in advance with the front desk.
Your Stay at Les Grands Carmes
The 42 rooms and suites accommodate from two to four people. Some have a terrace or private loggia offering views of the roofs of Aix-en-Provence or the Place Verdun.

LE CAFÉ VERDUN
Café Verdun welcomes you throughout the day, from breakfast to dinner, with an offer that changes with the hours. Breakfast, light lunches, gourmet breaks, and bistro-style cuisine with Provencal accents in the evening. The restaurant will be open to both hotel guests and the residents of Aix and visitors passing through.
Spa L'Occitane en Provence and Well-Being
The L’Occitane Spa welcomes you every day, by reservation, and will also be open to external clients. Treat yourself to a moment of well-being inspired by Provence, with facials, body rituals and moments of relaxation. Experiences combining spa and dining will be offered from opening, as well as a selection of gift boxes.
Private Events
For meetings, private business gatherings, lunches or bespoke events, Les Grands Carmes offers two flexible rooms of 50 m² and 20 m², which can be joined or separated by a sliding door. Overlooking the inner courtyard, they accommodate up to 23 and 13 seated guests respectively, in an intimate setting in the heart of Aix-en-Provence.
The restaurant and its patio are ideal for lunches and dinners with colleagues or family.
